Louisiana Deepwater Horizon Incident Update for May 6th, 2010

We are happy to report that the magnificent beaches and pristine Gulf waters surrounding Charlotte Harbor are as beautiful as ever. Our very precious bays and beaches are also safe from the oil spill that has occurred in the Gulf of Mexico and at this time, we are very optimistic about our situation. We continue to work with our local officials - on a daily basis - to remain up to date on new developments. In the event that our beaches are closed, or are affected by the oil spill, we will issue a full refund or we will reschedule your stay for a different time if you prefer. Because our beaches remain open and untouched, current cancellation requests will be addressed by the cancellation policy stated in our Rental Guidelines. We have received questions about the inclusion of Charlotte County in the Governor's State of Emergency. This is simply the first step in the process to allow for the availability of state and federal funding IF we are affected. This has absolutely no bearing on the projection of landfall. We appreciate your continued support and good wishes for the area and ask that you continue to keep us in your thoughts.
